Frank Stadler served as our President as recently as 2002 with great honor and dedication. However, Frank has stepped down as President due to health issues. I have ascended to the office of President for the remainder of his term.
As a result of the vacancy in the office of the President-Elect, I have appointed Jim Lane as my replacement. Jim has vacated his position on the Board of Directors and I have appointed Tom Carli as his replacement. I have also appointed Ian Dallas to serve as Immediate Past President. All have met with the approval of the Board of Directors.
I would like to acknowledge and thank the following officers who complete the Board of Directors for 2008: Director; Cris Kennedy, Handicap Chairman; Jim Scott, Secretary; Ron Schoenberger and Tournament Chairman; Tom Rau. We thank you for your dedication and hard work.
To quote Past President, Frank Stadler; "With anticipation, after a long snowy winter, we all look forward to the start of a new golfing season of fun, tournaments and camaraderie. Everything and everyone is in place for a great golfing season."

Liberty Lake Golf Course Master Plan Comes to Life!

After glancing back at last years Spring newsletter I was astonished by how far we have come in such a short period of time. Last year at this time we were looking for an architect to design a master plan looking to the future of Liberty Lake Golf Course.  In response to the overwhelming community support for this project, today we not only have an architect (Rick Phelps from Phelps and Atkinson), but we are preparing to break ground later this year on a complete renovation bring the master plan into reality.  This remodel, while a slight inconvenience initially, promises to transform Liberty Lake Golf Course into one of our areas greatest, high quality golf facilities.  In addition to adding two more lakes, and re-shaping our existing lake, we will be adding 21 more bunkers and approximately 30 more tees, to better accommodate and enhance the golf experience for a diverse range of golfers.  Along these lines, two to three hundred more trees will be planted, and a state-of-the-art irrigation system will be installed, dramatically increasing the quality and quantity of irrigated areas through more efficient use of our limited water resources.
